The experience

The aim is to create inside and outside the Pousada de Juventude an environment with everyone and for everyone. Starting with the community and moving on with each person who visits us. The importance of being involved is getting bigger and bigger, that's why the coexistence between guests should prevail.

Preserving and taking care of the space is another dimension of the project, so that everyone wins.

About the host

If you still do not know "the Portuguese Venice", this is the time to visit the city of Aveiro and surrender yourself to its beauty and charm.

Treat yourself to the famous ovos-moles, the castanhas de ovos, and the cavacas (egg and sugar cream, egg “chestnuts”, and “popovers”, a type of yummy melt in the mouth profiterole) . But Aveiro isn’t only all about sweets, get a move on and hit the road on an adventure…

You can pedal around the city on a “Buga” (municipal bicycle) ... and it’s FREE!

Take the opportunity to go canoeing on the Ria de Aveiro (Aveiro Lagoon), observe the unique nature of the Reserva Natural das Dunas de São Jacinto (the Dunas de São Jacinto Nature Reserve), and remember to pop over to Praia da Barra or Costa Nova (Barra or Costa Nova beaches).

While you there, visit the tallest lighthouse in the Iberian Peninsula, we dare you to climb its over 200 steps!

It's time for a little culture, visit the Museu de Aveiro da Princesa Santa Joana (Aveiro Museum of Princess Santa Joana)!

Get over here. There's a lot more to discover!
