The experience

Discover and experience a culture, traditions and new customs with us: the solidarity tourism allows the exchange with the other. It is not only a donation of one party, but also a communion that is necessary for the work to be developed. The Pousada and its collaborators will be involved in the project so that together we can build something. All the experiences will be adapted according to the profile of the candidates, in other words, the projects in which the solidarity tourists will work will be adapted according to their skills, preferences and needs of the Pousada.

About the host

The century-old building is full of history and memories,it has been fully restored and equipped so that you won’t be short of anything!

It’s an indispensable opportunity to learn the secrets of the city of Guimarães and surroundings ...

Located in the city centre, the Hostel is close to the historic center of Guimarães – a World Heritage Site since 2001!

Thanks to its location, the Hostel is the ideal starting point for a visit to the Castle, through to the Ducal Palace, and to the Largo da Oliveira (Oliveira Square)!

Once you’ve recovered your strength and energy, climb to Monte da Penha and enjoy the fantastic panoramic view.

It is only a straight 7 km ascent... maybe it is best to take the cable car!

Guimarães is a city full of life, history, and cultural events.

How much longer are you going to wait before discovering the city and see what you are missing?
