You have a number of terraces or esplanades to choose from, and a pleasant stretch of beach to walk along! Make Rua Vasco da Gama, (Vasco da Gama Street), better known as Rua dos Cafés, (The Café Street), your meeting point.

If you’re in tourist mode get on the road and head towards Óbidos, Nazaré (Garrett McNamara's Backyard) Alcobaça, Batalha, Leiria, Caldas da Rainha and Foz do Arelho... so much to see!

Close by, there are plenty places of interest to visit. Heading North, we have the famed town of Alcobaça, where you can roam around the Mosteiro de Alcobaça (Alcobaça Monastery), wander through the Mosteiro de Cós (the Cós Monastery), take a leisurely stroll in Parque dos Monges (Monk’s Park), clamber up and down the Ruínas do Castelo de Alcobaça (Alcobaça’s castle ruins) and still pop in to the Museu de Cerâmica Raul Bernarda (Raul Bernarda Ceramics Museum). While in Caldas da Rainha, visit Parque D. Carlos (Dom Carlos Park), and admire the artworks in both Museu José Malhoa (the José Malhoa Museum) and Museu Bordalo Pinheiro (the Bordalo Pinheiro Museum).
